Smooth travel with a white Christmas ahead

Holiday travel weather is looking good with smooth sailing through Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and beyond. With snow on the ground and mild temperatures holding right around or a little below freezing, we’re in great shape for a white Christmas.

Today will be partly to mostly cloudy with highs in the low to mid 30s—much warmer than we’ve seen over the past few days.

We’re tracking a clipper system that could bring a few flurries late tonight into Monday morning. This one looks weak and won’t cause much more than slightly colder temperatures and a few gusts around 10 to 20 mph.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day still look quiet with a mix of clouds and sunshine and highs in the low 30s. With temperatures staying cold enough to hold onto our snow, our chances for a white Christmas are looking pretty solid.

Holiday travel weather continues to look great through most of next week. As always, keep your KEYC First Alert Weather app handy wherever you go. We’ll be here to keep you updated if anything changes.
