‘SNL’ mocks Yankees fans who interfered with Mookie Betts during World Series

The Yankees fans who were banned from Game 5 of the World Series for interfering with Dodgers star Mookie Betts the night before got the “Saturday Night Live” treatment.

During the “Weekend Update” segment on Saturday’s episode, Colin Jost brought up the chaos that ensued in Los Angeles Wednesday night after the Dodgers won the World Series in The Bronx and mentioned that a Nike store was looted.

“That is just disgusting. Yankees fans would never steal sporting goods, unless it was during the game,” Jost said before the broadcast showed a photo of one of the fans trying to wrestle the ball away from Betts.

As Betts made a catch against the wall in the first inning in Game 4, 38-year-old Austin Capobianco, wearing a road gray Yankees jersey, grabbed Betts’ glove to try to pry the ball away.

Capobianco’s friend, John Peter, then grabbed Betts’ right wrist before Capobianco jarred the ball loose.

Gleyber Torres was promptly called out on fan interference, and the two fans were ejected from the game.

The Post first reported Wednesday the fans would be banned for Game 5.

It’s unclear whether the ban will extend beyond that.

Capobianco, a season-ticket holder, opened up about the incident in an interview with Barstool on Wednesday.

“We talked about it. If we’re on the field, we’re D-ing up our fans from being stupid and causing interference that [costs the Yankees an out when they’re in the field],” Capobianco said on the “Barstool Rundown” show.

“In that situation, ideally we would’ve hit the ball while it was in the air — we’re not reaching into the field of play. We would have if it came down to that, but that ball was on the wall. It was in my mouth, basically, and I go, ‘I can’t not do something right now.’”

He also said Peter grabbing Betts’ right wrist was “f–king hilarious” while admitting his friend “crossed the line.”

The team donated the fans’ tickets for Game 5 to a pediatric cancer patient and his family.

Saturday’s “SNL” episode also featured an appearance by Kamala Harris.
