Snoop Dogg and wife Shante Broadus celebrate 27 years of togetherness

Twenty seven years and counting! Rapper Snoop Dogg, 52, is celebrating his 27th wedding anniversary with his wife and manager, Shante Broadus. On Saturday, he shared a loved-up post on Instagram to mark the special occasion and give a glimpse of their celebration to their fans.

“#TwentySeven,” Snoop captioned a series of photos, tagging Broadus. She shared the same images and a similar caption on her own Instagram handle.

In the post, the couple can be seen donning matching pink-and-white sweatsuits. Snoop had his arm around Broadus in both pictures.

Snoop and Broadus’s love story dates back to their teenage years when they attended Long Beach Polytechnic High School in California and went to prom together in 1989. They tied the knot in June 1997 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Marina Del Rey, Calif.

The couple shares three children: sons Cordé, 29, and Cordell, 27, and daughter Cori, 24. Snoop also has a 25-year-old son named Julian with Laurie Helmond.

Their family has expanded to include grandchildren through their son Cordé, who has children Zion, Leo, and Elleven. Tragically, Cordé’s son Kai Love passed away in 2019 at just 10 days old.

Snoop and Broadus briefly separated in 2004 but renewed their vows in 2008. 

Back in 2023, Snoop spoke to Today and reflected on why their marriage stood the test of time. “I think because we were both young and we were both willing to sacrifice for each other. She knew what my dreams and goals were, and at the same time, I knew what hers were,” he said in the interview.

“When you truly love somebody, there ain’t nothing you can do to break that up, and I feel like that was true love at first sight,” he added.

In 2024, Snoop opened up about his commitments to his wife. In a Live Instagram session, he revealed he even turned down a potential $100 million deal with Only Fans for Broadus and their marriage’s sake.
