Someone shot at a Big Rapids business on New Year’s Eve, sheriff’s officials say
BIG RAPIDS TOWNSHIP, MI — Customers were inside a business at the Bulldog Square shopping center here Tuesday, Dec. 31, when someone shot a projectile that penetrated the structure’s walls, Mecosta County sheriff’s officials reported.
There were no injuries during the incident, Deputy Scott Morgan stated in a news release.
He did not indicate which business was involved in the 4:30 p.m. shooting and did not provide specifics on the type of projectile that penetrated the wall.

The Big Rapids Township-based outdoor shopping mall is located less than a half-mile south from Ferris State University’s main campus facilities and across the street from a Big Rapids Township Fire Department station.
