Southeast Texas law enforcement are aware of alleged travel agent activity
BEAUMONT — Law enforcement in Jefferson County and Beaumont say they’re aware of the multiple people alleging to be scammed out of thousands of dollars from Southeast Texas travel agent Emily lockard-Furry, and her company “Travel Luxe Official”.
They say one person has dropped the allegation since being paid back, while another was out of their jurisdiction.
Officer Morrow with the Beaumont Police Department says speaking up and coming forward can not only help you, but it might also help another victim. She also strongly advises people to check sites like the Better Business Bureau, and even use Google to look up company reviews before handing over their money, cause she says you never know.
