Spirit Airlines’ Fall Sale Is Here — and You Can Fly Cross-country for as Low as $40
Spirit Airlines is embracing fall with a great sale that has one-way flights starting as low as $40.
The sale, which must be booked by 11:59 p.m. ET on Saturday, Sept. 21, is valid on travel from Oct. 7 to Dec. 20, the airline shared with Travel + Leisure. Travel with the sale is only available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
“We’re helping our Guests save on their autumn getaways with limited-time deals to popular destinations to enjoy the fall foliage and explore other great leisure markets,” Rana Ghosh, the senior vice president and chief transformation officer at Spirit Airlines, said in a statement shared with T+L. “Plus, travelers can enjoy our transformed Guest experience and the enhanced comfort and flexibility of our ‘More Fly’ travel options all with exceptional value on their next fall getaway.”
Fly from Las Vegas to Seattle, from Fort Lauderdale to Baltimore, from Atlantic City to Orlando, from Atlanta to Chicago, and more starting at just $40 one-way. Or head cross-country with flights to Los Angeles starting at just $40 one-way from Philadelphia, starting at just $53 one-way from Atlanta, and starting at just $80 one-way from Newark.
The sale is not valid during blackout dates from Nov. 21 to Dec. 1.
Sale tickets are available for Spirit’s “Go” fare, which is the most economical of the airline’s new fare classes and the closest to the carrier’s original unbundled tickets. “Go” fares include one personal item in the cost of the ticket, but travelers are not permitted to bring a carry-on bag and must pay extra for a checked bag, seat selection, snacks and drinks, and Wi-Fi.
In addition to that fare, the airline now offers several other upgraded options: “Go Savvy,” which includes one carry-on or checked bag and standard seat selection at booking; “Go Comfy,” which includes a guaranteed blocked middle seat, a carry-on and checked bag, priority boarding, a snack, and a non-alcoholic beverage; and “Go Big,” which includes Spirit’s Big Front seat, free snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, a carry-on and checked bag, priority check-in and boarding, and free Wi-Fi.
Spirit has also done away with most change and cancellation fees, including for its lower-priced “Go” fares.
