Sports and outdoor store opening on Birmingham’s US 280
A new location – with a new look for Academy Sports + Outdoors – is opening this week in Birmingham.
The new 45,000-square-foot store at 4610 U.S. 280 will be Academy’s 16th location in Alabama.
However, the store has a new, updated layout, look, and style which differs from any existing Academy store in the state, the company said.
The store has four days of deals lined up for its grand opening, including free gift cards Friday through Sunday to the first 150 customers (18 years or older).
It will also be offering 50% off on Magellan Outdoors apparel, a $99.99 OG Bronco Charcoal Grill, and 25% Off all shoes and socks.
In addition, there will be demonstrations and giveaways with Duckett Fishing, Crocs, HeyDude, CAT, Brooks, Wolverine, and Stealth Cam.
Academy Sports + Outdoors is one of the nation’s largest sporting goods and outdoor stores. Based in Katy, Texas, the company has 291 stores nationwide.
