Sports briefs: Twin Cities All Stars improve to 3-0

Twin Cities (3-0) stands as the lone undefeated team among the 11-year-old Little League All Stars after Tuesday’s showdown with Mill Valley (2-1). Twin Cities won, 2-1, at Boyle Park, handing host Mill Valley its first lost of the tournament.

In Monday’s action in the 9/10s division, Tiburon Peninsula outlasted West Marin, 7-6; San Rafael fell to San Francisco American, 7-6; and Ross Valley (1-2) rolled past Galinas Valley, 13-2., for its first win. San Rafael (0-2), Galinas Valley (0-3) and West Marin (0-2) are all still seeking their first wins.

Tiburon Peninsula (2-1) moved into fifth place, behind undefeated Novato North, Novato South, Mill Valley and Twin Cities.

Baseball

The Novato Knicks swept a doubleheader with TKB Baseball in Watsonville on Saturday. Novato’s squad of college-level talent won the opener 10-7, then closed the book with a 7-6 decision. The Knicks are scheduled to host TKB in a doubleheader at San Marin High at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
