Sports camp to be held for students with developmental disabilities in Aberdeen

ABERDEEN, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – This weekend, students with developmental differences in the Hub City area will participate in Carson’s Playmakers, an inclusive sports camp.

The effort was started by Carson Leonhardt, an area athlete who said he wanted to make sports accessible to all, regardless of their abilities.

Dakota News Now Photojournalist Dave Hauck met with Leonhardt, who discussed the potential expansion into other South Dakota communities.

Next week, students with developmental differences and their families are invited to take part in Playmakers, an inclusive sports camp.(Playmakers)
