FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) – In this week’s Gone Fishing Report brought to you by Frontier Outfitters, we’re taking a look at stocked locations for those seeking rainbow trout.

Just off the Elliot Highway, Olnes Pond was stocked with rainbow trout on May 21. Crystal Lake in the Mat-Su Valley was stocked with same fish on the same day as well.

Further south near Anchorage, Cheney Lake is said to be a good location for both rainbow trout and chinook salmon.

Venturing out ocean side, halibut fishing in the Kenai area is said to be running strong with the catch of a 170lb halibut hitting the dock recently.

Don’t forget to send us your fishing photos, and maybe you’ll see yours during the gone fishing report right on Channel 11 during the sport segment.

But good luck to all the anglers.
