Spring Hill’s Schott drives in pair as UT-Tyler remains unbeaten in World Series

LONGWOOD, Fla. (KLTV) – Former Spring Hill Panther Sam Schott had two RBI as UT-Tyler improved to 2-0 Monday in the Division II World Series.

Batting leadoff and starting in left field, the junior batted 1-for-3 with two walks. Schott drew a bases loaded walk in the second inning. She walked again in the fourth inning but was thrown out at second base on a fielder’s choice. In the seventh, Schott singled to the pitcher to score a run and give UT-Tyler a 10-0 lead over Western Washington.

The Patriots improve to 55-8 on the season. They play again on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m.
