Sprouts, Planet Fitness coming to Carson City as part of new project

CARSON CITY, Nev. (KOLO) – A new Sprouts and a Planet Fitness will be coming to Carson City as part of a new project.

The new project, called the North Carson Crossing, broke ground in Carson City on Tuesday at 393 Market Street.

Sprouts and Planet Fitness have locations in other northern Nevada areas, but these will be the first ones in Carson City.

The entire project will be six acres. Sprouts will occupy 23,000 square feet, while Planet Fitness will occupy 22,000 square feet. Other shops and businesses will occupy the remaining space.

“We are excited to construct the North Carson Crossing development and to add quality retail to the market,” said Metcalf Builders President and CEO Bryce Clutts. “We are proud of our 30-year history of building the future of Carson City.”

The project is valued at $8.5 million, and Tuesday’s groundbreaking is part of a larger 15-acre development in the North Carson Crossing Center.

Construction is expected to span over the next year and is estimated to be done in the summer of 2025.
