RESTAURANTS: Alpha Brewing Distillery, 5232 Delmar Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63108

After months of planning and construction, Alpha Brewing Distillery opened as part of a new retail plaza, Maker’s Locale.

A Touch Of Texas BBQ, 3559 Arsenal Street, St. Louis, MO 63118

After serving up grilled meats on Cass Avenue, A Touch Of Texas BBQ is now open for business in Tower Grove East.

Brasas, 6138 Delmar Boulevard, St. Louis, Missouri 63112

Brasas is a Peruvian rotisserie situated across from The Pageant on the Delmar Loop.

Owner Ben Poremba said the restaurant never truly recovered after its pandemic-related closure.

Kohn’s Kosher Meat and Deli Restaurant, 10405 Old Olive Street Road, St. Louis, MO 63141

The region’s last old-school kosher deli has closed until further notice, according to a notice posted on the business’ website in early July.

Pi Pizzeria, 400 North Euclid Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63108

After more than a decade in business and multiple locations in different states, Pi Pizzeria closed its last location in early July.

Abigail’s Clothing Boutique, 5433 Hampton Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63109

Owner Abby Niebling Fischer said an uptick in online retail, more competitors and decreased foot traffic in small business stores ushered in the closure of the store.

Express, 134 St. Clair Square, Fairview Heights, IL 62208

Express in St. Clair Square mall closed as a result of the clothing company filing for bankruptcy. Stores in the Saint Louis Galleria and St. Louis Premium remain open.

Society of St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store, 1225 South Florissant Road, St. Louis, MO 63121

This Cool Valley outlet was known for selling clothes by the pound and housewares for bulk prices. It’s closure is a result of staffing and retail challenges in a post-COVID environment, according to Catholic organization that runs the stores.
