St. Louis Blues Sign Nikita Alexandrov

The St. Louis Blues have signed forward Nikita Alexandrov to a one-year, two-way deal, the team announced Monday.

The deal will see Alexandrov make $775,000 at the NHL level and $150,000 at the AHL level.

Alexandrov, shortly after signing his contract, was placed on waivers for the purpose of assignment to the Thunderbirds.

Drafted by the Blues in the second round of the 2019 NHL Draft, Alexandrov spent time with both the Blues and the Thunderbirds in 2023-24. With St. Louis, he collected two assists in 23 regular season games. In Springfield, Alexandrov scored three goals and added four assists for seven points in seven games.

Since turning pro in 2020-21, Alexandrov has played in 51 NHL regular season games, putting up nine points.

As Alexandrov hits waivers, he may be an intriguing option for another team looking to add a young forward. If he does clear, he will be a great addition to the Thunderbirds, having proven to be a near point per game player when he has spent time with the team over the past two seasons.
