The state of Georgia’s tourism department (also known as Explore Georgia) announced that the “2025 Georgia Travel Guide” has officially released and is now available to the public.

Produced by the Georgia Department of Economic Development, the annual publication explores the Peach State’s diverse locales through detailed maps, insider tips, expert recommendations and more.

The new feature of the latest travel guide iteration is an innovative four-tab cover that “illustrates the varied landscapes and experiences visitors can explore in Georgia,” according to a release.

Among the areas included in the newly-introduced cover include the mountain town of Toccoa Falls, the city of Columbus, the downtown area of Covington, along with the coastal Sapelo Island.

“Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a lifelong Georgian, this year’s travel guide will help you find a reason to keep Georgia on your mind,” said Georgia Governor Brian Kemp. “As our state continues to grow and remains a premier destination for travelers and businesses alike, this resource will encourage exploration that will ultimately benefit our local communities, small businesses, and all Georgians, thanks to the economic impact that travelers make across the Peach State.”

Guided by traveler sentiment research and visitor data, the publication features a wide variety of editorial features that offers something for every type of visitor.

Notable highlights include the “Best Trips of 2025” section, which puts a spotlight on must-do experiences; “Travel More, Spend Less,” which provides budget-friendly travel tips for solo and group visitors; “Ready, Set, Outdoors,” which features all the best natural wonders and outside adventures travelers should look out for; and even a feature for dog-owners looking to traverse with their furry companions titled “Wag Your Way Across Georgia.”

“Georgia’s regions and landmarks are as diverse as they are distinct, and this year’s guide captures these unique assets in a way that resonates with the needs and interests of our visitors,” said Georgia Department of Economic Development Chief Marketing Officer Mark Jaronski.

Georgia Tourism says that the 2025 Georgia Travel Guide comes following two consecutive years of record-breaking tourism for the state.

Just last year alone, Georgia welcomed a record-high 171 million tourists, generating over $43 billion in direct visitor spending and nearly $80 billion in statewide economic impact, according to a release.

The 2025 Georgia Travel Guide is free of charge and is available at various Georgia Visitor Information Centers, digitally on the Explore Georgia website, by phone at 1-800-VISIT-GA and through a number of statewide tourism partners such as local welcome centers, attractions and Georgia State Parks.
