Born in Point Pleasant, N.J., he spent his formative years on Staten Island before moving to Jackson, N.J. Dr. Michael A. Paglia, 95, a distinguished surgical oncologist who practiced medicine for over 40 years in New York City, died June 27. He was a beloved father, grandfather and family member, a dedicated physician and a friend to many. Read the full obituary on SILive.

Kevin Mahoney, 72, of Grant City, a beloved family man and a carpenter by trade, died Sept. 14 at home. He spent decades doing what he loved — traveling the country and doing carpentry with his brothers, James and John. Born and raised in Manhattan, he lived in Colorado, California, Nevada, New Orleans and Washington State before returning to New York in 2000, where he met his wife, Cece.
