Students learn safe travel to and from school in annual Walk & Roll to School Day next week

Walk & Roll to School Day will come to Steamboat Springs on Wednesday, supporting local students to walk or ride bikes to and from school throughout the day.

The annual event promotes safer routes for walking and cycling within the community while emphasizing the significance of physical activity for children.

The event will also place pop-up locations on local trails at Butcherknife, Soda Creek and Steamboat Springs High School. The pop-ups will help promote safety and educate students on trail etiquette and rules of the road.

The Walk & Roll event is a partnership between Routt County Riders, Steamboat Springs Police Department, Parks & Recreation, city of Steamboat Springs and Steamboat Springs School District. For more, SteamboatSprings.net/walkandroll.
