Summer means it’s time for Celebrate Waupun. Here’s everything to know about the June 28-30 event.

Tickets for carnival rides are $1.50 each or 16 for $20 with most rides taking 3 or more tickets per person.

WAUPUN – It’s that time of year again: Celebrate Waupun is back with rides, games, live entertainment and vendors.

The festival opens at 4 p.m. June 28 at Tanner Park and continues from noon to 11 p.m. June 29 and 30 at Tanner Park, ending with the National Exchange Bank and Trust and the City of Waupun Fireworks Show at 9:30 p.m. June 30.

As a result of the flooding from June 22, the Horicon Bank Main Stage and Main Tent will shift slightly north, away from the river, according to Waupun Festivals.

New for 2024 is Pier Pups competitive dog dock diving, starting at 5 p.m. June 28 and 1 p.m. June 29 and 30.

Carnival rides

The A&P Carnival rides open at 4 p.m. June 28, noon June 29 and noon June 30. Tickets are available for $1.50 each or 16 for $20 — rides take three or more tickets per person.

Megabands grant access to the rides all weekend for $50 per person, available in advance at Piggly Wiggly, 100 Gateway Drive, until noon June 27. Daily bands are $30 per person.

Friday Fish Fry

The Friday Fish Fry, sponsored by Fox Valley Savings Bank, will be served 4 to 8 p.m. June 28.

Tickets are available for $16 at Fox Valley Savings Bank, 101 S. Madison St., and the meal includes 6 ounces of fish and all the sides.

Live music and entertainment

Live music June 28 on the Horicon Bank Main Stage kicks off with Remington’s Ride at 4:30 p.m., followed by Boogie & the Yo-Yoz at 8 p.m.

Acts June 29 include Record Entertainment DJ and Karaoke, Saline Fiddlers Philharmonic, Good Time Five and Rebel Grace throughout the day and evening.

June 30 starts with Celebrate Waupun Community Worship at 11:30 a.m., then Celebrate Waupun BIG BINGO and Bob Viking Family Fun. That 90’s Band starts at 4:30 p.m., followed by Haulin’ Brass and the fireworks show.

Art and other activities all weekend

Entertainment June 28 will also include firefighter water barrel fights from Waupun and surrounding fire departments at 6 p.m.

June 29 will feature the Celebrate Waupun Bags Tournament at noon, which benefits the Waupun Hockey Association, and City of Waupun Sculpture Tours at 1, 3 and 5 p.m.

A Glow Zone starts at 6 p.m. from Imagine That! Art Studio. The studio will also host an Art Splat Zone starting at 2 p.m. June 30.

Activities June 30 will also include the Celebrate Waupun Car Show from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Harris Mill Park and a pedal pull at 1 p.m.
