Sun Country Airlines, Learfield’s Gopher Sports Properties and Dinkytown Athletes Launch NIL Opportunity for Gopher Student-Athletes

Minneapolis, MN  — December 18, 2024 — Sun Country Airlines (NASDAQ: SNCY), Learfield’s Gopher Sports Properties and Dinkytown Athletes have teamed up to provide one of the largest and far-reaching NIL airline deals in college sports for University of Minnesota student-athletes.

Sun Country Airlines, which is the official airline of Gopher Athletics, will provide Gopher student-athletes across all 22 programs with the opportunity to receive airline travel vouchers in exchange for social media awareness and promotion.

Through summer 2025, Sun Country Airlines will operate 116 routes serving 102 airports across the United States, Mexico, Central America, Canada and the Caribbean, which will allow Gopher student-athletes the opportunity to visit family or travel and see different parts of the world.

Gopher Sports Properties, the locally based team of Learfield – the media and technology company powering college athletics – is the exclusive multimedia rights holder for Minnesota Athletics and oversees all sponsorship agreements on behalf of the Gophers.
