Sunnyvale residents can weigh in on city’s sports facilities
Outdoor sports survey
To help meet the growing demand for outdoor spaces to play in Sunnyvale, city officials are asking residents to complete an online survey at https://communityfeedback.opengov.com/portals/sunnyvaleca/Issue_13867 by July 31 to share their feedback about outdoor sports and amenities they use or would like added.

Charitable giving seminar
The Sunnyvale Historical Society is hosting a seminar on “Charitable Giving and Your Financial Strategy,” presented by charitable giving advisor Shane Jacksteit and attorney Katherine Efting, on Monday, July 29, at 7 pm. at the Heritage Park Museum, 570 E. Remington Drive.
Attendees will learn how charitable giving can be part of a long-term financial strategy, including potential tax benefits and information about advanced giving channels.

Clean energy winner
A local student was among the winners in the EmPower Silicon Valley Short Video Competition.
Students submitted short videos promoting the benefits of clean electric technology to the competition, sponsored by Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE). The Sunnyvale-based green energy aggregator distributed $18,000 in scholarships to the winners.
Cupertino Middle School student Sanvi Bharadwaj won a Creative Presentation Award of $2,000 for “Go Green – Starting With EV Chargers.”
