Nedrose junior Kaleb Eggen (20) runs down the field against Surrey on Wednesday, October 16, at Surrey High School.

Nedrose and Surrey were both fighting for their first win last night at Surrey High School. Surrey got things going in the first quarter scoring the first touchdown of the game against Nedrose. Nedrose responded right after with a touchdown tying the game up.

The teams both entered halftime the same way they started the game – both looking for their first win of the season.

The Mustangs were playing with their first year head coach Kade Susie at the helm. Joey Berg was in the same boat with the Cardinals.

Either home field advantage, or the better half time talk- Surrey turned on the momentum in the third quarter to post 24 unanswered points for the 32-8 lead over the visitors from Nedrose.

Both teams scored another touchdown in the fourth quarter and Surrey won their first game of the season 38-16.

The season ended for both teams with the Wednesday evening contest closing out the schedule for each group.
