Survey Reveals Most Undesirable U.S. Jobs: Would You Switch?

I’ve got a question for you—what would it take for you to switch careers? I mean, seriously, even double the pay isn’t enough for most folks to take on some of the jobs I’m about to mention. A new survey has revealed the most undesirable jobs across the country, and let’s just say, people are picky!

Top of the list? Meatpacking plant worker—folks in Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin are steering clear of this one. I can’t say I blame them.

Next up, we’ve got commercial fisherman, which is avoided like the plague in states like Alabama, Alaska, and Florida—I guess battling the ocean isn’t for everyone!

How about heights? Apparently, skyscraper window cleaner is a hard no in New York, Tennessee, and Washington. (THIS is the job I don’t think I could do for ANY amount of money!)

As for here in Texas, one of the least desired jobs is working on an oil rig, even though half the people I know seem to do exactly that! It’s tough, dangerous, and—if we’re being honest—very, very windy!

People in Georgia and Hawaii aren’t too keen on becoming electricians, while roofing is avoided in Arizona and Oklahoma.

Some folks are even avoiding logging up in Montana and Vermont. And for Rhode Island—the last job they want? Being a security officer!

So, what about you, fellow Lubbockites? Would you take any of these jobs for double the pay, or are you sticking with your current gig?
