SUV crashes into Horse Cave business

HORSE CAVE, Ky. (WBKO) – A single-vehicle accident occurred Saturday resulting in minor damage to a utility pole and a local business but caused no serious injuries.

The incident occurred Saturday morning involving a Hyundai Tuscon that struck a utility pole before coming to rest against a storefront.

The driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, sustained minor injuries as a result of the accident. The individual declined transport to the hospital. Their identity has not been released.

The utility pole sustained minor damage in the accident.

Kentucky Utilities confirmed the pole remains structurally sound and poses no risk to public safety according to Horse Cave Fire Chief Mason Micheals.

The cause of the accident remains unconfirmed. Authorities have not released any information regarding potential factors that may have contributed to the incident.
