Swindling case against Minnesota construction business owner dismissed

MARSHALL COUNTY, Minn. — A Wannaska, Minnesota, business owner’s criminal case for

theft by swindling

was dismissed in November.

Ward Wyman Knight, owner of AngleWood Builders, was accused of receiving an accidental large overpayment for his work and not returning it, not finishing the job he was paid to do and failing to deliver construction materials.

The prosecuting attorney filed a dismissal of charges Nov. 6, stating that the alleged victim in the case no longer wished to proceed with the charges and as a result would like the case dismissed.

The felony charge was dismissed without prejudice, which means it could be refiled at a later date.
