Tampa woman launches travel agency for single mothers and their children
TAMPA, Fla. – Traveling the world can seem like an impossible dream for many, especially single mothers balancing parenting and a busy life. But one inspiring woman has set out to prove that international travel isn’t just for couples or solo adventurers – it’s for everyone.
That’s why Tyra Andre founded ‘Mommy and Wee Travel,’ a home-grown travel agency that is designed specifically for single women and mothers with children.
Tyra and her 9-year-old daughter, Isabella, have been traveling the globe, visiting over 50 countries together.

From the cobblestone streets of Paris to the palaces of India, this dynamic duo’s adventures aren’t just about seeing sights – they’re about breaking barriers.
“My biggest goal is to help women across the world, women across the world, women with children or without children, to just see the world, whether they’re coming with us or, you know, we’re booking them a trip, and they’re going solo,” said Tyra. “I just want to get people out there to see the world.”

The goal is to help them navigate the challenges of international travel and show that it’s not only possible, but also life-changing.
“It will change not only your life, but it will change your child’s life as well,” said Tyra. “So my biggest message is don’t be afraid to travel. That in some cases, it’s safer to travel outside of the states than it is inside of the states.”

And for Isabella, these trips are more than just vacations – they’re lessons in culture, empathy and independence.
“It’s a different experience, and it’s exciting to be on an airplane going to a different culture,” Isabella said.
She even wrote two books to document her experiences.
