Team USA for men’s gymnastics set, Minnesota native Shane Wiskus will travel as alternate

MINNEAPOLIS (KTTC) – The five-man U.S. Olympic gymnastics team is set, after men’s U.S. Olympic Team Trials concluded in Minneapolis Saturday.

2024 U.S. floor exercise champion Frederick Richard was the men’s all-around winner in Minneapolis. That means he will be competing in his first Olympic games.

The other members of the team are Paul Juda, Asher Hong, Stephen Nedoroscik, and Brody Malone. Malone is a three-time U.S. all-around champion.

Khoi Young and Shane Wiskus of Spring Park, Minnesota will travel with the team as replacement athletes.

Women’s U.S. Olympic Team Trials resume Sunday evening at Target Center. After night one of competition, seven-time Olympic medalist Simone Biles is leading the pack.

The opening ceremony in Paris is scheduled for Friday, July 26.
