Texans favored over Chiefs in wake of Patrick Mahomes injury

The Chiefs have not made any official announcement about quarterback Patrick Mahomes’s availability for next Saturday’s home game against the Texans, but oddsmakers seem to think he’ll miss the game.

The Chiefs had been favored by as many as 4.5 points at various sportsbooks ahead of Sunday’s action, but the Texans are now the favorites to win the game. DraftKings had them favored by 1.5 points at 8 p.m. ET on Sunday, but the number has floated higher at other outlets in the last few hours.

Mahomes injured his ankle in Kansas City’s 21-7 win over the Browns and he said that he will know more about the severity of the injury on Monday.

If Mahomes is unable to play, Carson Wentz would make his first start as a member of the Chiefs.
