The best Beats products and deals for holiday shopping – 9to5Mac

If you’re still finalizing your holiday shopping, it’s hard to beat some of the current deals on Beats products. From the all-new Beats Pill to the incredibly cost-effective Beats Solo Buds, the Beats product lineup is stronger than ever this year.

I’ve reviewed all the new Beats products released in the past few years, and here are my favorites. Plus, they are still available for delivery in time for Christmas.

Beats Studio Pro

The Beats Studio Pro debuted last September as the high-end offering in the Beats family of products. They pack support for active noise cancellation, Transparency mode, lossless audio playback via USB-C, and much more.

In my review of Beats Studio Pro, I said that they “make AirPods Max impossible to recommend” for most buyers. That sentiment remains true today, seeing as AirPods Max only got a single lackluster update in 2025.

From my review:

When you look at the breakdown of the features offered by Beats Studio Pro over AirPods Max, it becomes clear – at least to me – which ones are the best option. I’d gladly trade automatic device switching for a USB-C port and $200 savings. In fact, I disable automatic device switching everywhere because I find the feature to be more of a nuisance than it is useful.

That’s not to say you don’t make other compromises when you choose Beats Studio Pro. For example, the build quality isn’t as nice, and there’s no automatic device switching or automatic play/pause. But there are benefits that Beats Studio Pro offer over AirPods Max, many of which address the most common AirPods Max complaints.

And the current sale pricing on Beats Studio Pro makes them even easier to recommend. Plus, they’re available with delivery in time for Christmas in select colors:

Beats Solo 4

If you’re looking for a more lightweight and affordable pair of headphones, the Beats Solo 4 are an excellent option. They feature an on-ear redesign rather than an over-ear design like Beats Studio Pro. They offer lossless audio via USB-C, 50 hours of battery life, Find My integration, spatial audio, and more.

From my review in April:

Are Beats Solo 4 a revolutionary new entrant to the headphone market? Absolutely not. Will they continue to sell by the truckload? Probably.

The focus of Beats Solo 4 is taking a tried and true product and bringing it into the modern era. Beats could have discontinued Beats Solo 3 without a replacement and pushed customers toward the more expensive Beats Studio Pro instead. Alternatively, it could’ve released Beats Solo 4 at a higher price point.

Ultimately, it did neither of those things. Beats Solo 4 come in at the same $199 price point as their predecessors. It’s always nice when a product gets better without getting more expensive, but it’s especially notable when there’s an eight-year gap between those updates. After all, a lot about the economy and the world has changed since 2016.

Beats Solo 4 are also on sale and should arrive right around Christmas time:

Beats Studio Buds+

The Beats Studio Buds+ debuted last year and offer features like active noise cancellation, Transparency mode, deep integration with both iPhone and Android, and more.

From my review of Beats Studio Buds+:

The biggest changes to Beats Studio Buds+ are the improvements to Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency mode. Beats says that you can expect Beats Studio Buds+ to deliver up to 1.6x more powerful ANC and up to 2x better Transparency than the first-generation predecessors.

I’m far from an audiophile, but I quickly noticed the improved Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency mode offered by the Beats Studio Buds+. The second-generation AirPods Pro still offer noticeably better Active Noise Cancellation – but they’re also almost $100 more expensive.

My favorite thing is watching Beats continue to do what Apple refuses to do: offer multiple different form factor options, very fun colors, and excellent integration with Android devices. Apple, for instance, doesn’t offer AirPods with a stem-less design. If that’s a must-have for you, Beats Studio Buds+ are there to fill the void.

My favorite thing about Beats Studio Buds+, however, is that they are available in an incredible transparent color option. If you’re looking for a “wow factor” with your Beats gift this holiday season, the transparent Beats Studio Buds+ are an excellent option.

Plus, they’re on sale on Amazon and should arrive in time for Christmas:

Beats Fit Pro

Beats Fit Pro

Apple no longer sells the iconic Powerbeats Pro (there’s a big overhaul planned for 2025). In the meantime, the Beats Fit Pro are an excellent option for a workout-focused pair of earbuds. They feature a wingtip style design for extra in-ear security, along with a host of features like ANC, six hours of battery life, Transparency mode, and more.

From my Beats Fit Pro review:

In my time with the Beats Fit Pro, I’ve found the fit and design to be incredibly secure in my ear as well as pretty comfortable. The wingtip design can take some getting used to, especially when combined with also having to find the correct in-ear fit. Once you find that perfect fit, however, the combination of the wing tip and in-ear design makes the Beats Fit Pro the most secure, truly wireless earbuds I’ve ever used. You don’t have to worry about these falling out of your ears, even when working out.

Ultimately, Beats Fit Pro are an incredibly compelling option, thanks to their excellent sound quality and design, versatile compatibility with Apple and Android devices, and a sub-$200 price point.

You guessed it: Beats Fit Pro are on sale via Amazon and will arrive in time for Christmas:

Beats Solo Buds

Beats Solo Buds might be the best value in the entire earbuds product category. They offer a whopping 18 hours of battery life in an incredibly compact design. Beats Solo Buds don’t offer the bells and whistles of other Beats products, but the bang-for-your-buck value is still there.

From my review of Beats Solo Buds:

Beats says that Beats Solo Buds offer up to 18 hours of battery life. When I first heard this number, I thought it was too good to be true and asked Beats to confirm, which they happily did.

And to be ultra-clear: that’s 18 hours of battery life from the Beats Solo Buds themselves. There’s no marketing trickery going on here. In fact, the case included with Beats Solo Buds doesn’t feature an integrated battery. Instead, when you want to charge Solo Buds, you place them in the case, then connect the case to a USB-C cable. Beats says a 5-minute charge will get you an hour of battery life.

In my testing, Beats Solo Buds come incredibly close to hitting that 18-hour mark. In my testing, which consisted of listening to a lot of Taylor Swift, Chappell Roan, and Billie Eilish, Beats Solo Buds consistently clocked in between 16 and 17 hours of battery life.

That’s an incredibly impressive number, no matter how you slice it. You can leave the house in the morning and know that you won’t have to worry about charging Beats Solo Buds.

Beats Solo Buds are on sale and will arrive in time for Christmas:

Beats Pill

Rounding out this list is the brand new Beats Pill. I was thrilled when word got out that the Beats Pill was returning, and the new model has lived up to all my expectations. I use it on a daily basis and have been consistently impressed with sound quality, battery life, iPhone integration, and more.

From my review of the Beats Pill:

I’ve always loved the Beats Pill design, so I was disappointed to see Apple discontinue the Beats Pill+ without a replacement. After spending about a week with it, I feel confident in saying that the Beats Pill is back and better than ever.

The Beats Pill gets almost everything right for a revival of an abandoned, fan-favorite product. It stays true to its iconic roots while also making several notable improvements. That includes better sound quality, improved battery life, improved connectivity, and USB-C.

And what makes those improvements all the more notable is the pricing. The Beats Pill costs $149.99, which is $80 cheaper than the launch price of the Beats Pill+ in 2015. That’s a pretty significant price drop, especially for a product that first launched nine years ago.

The Beats Pill is on sale on Amazon and will arrive in time for Christmas:
