The Best Winter 2024 Fashion Trends

Dreamy suedes, delicious brown separates, countryside plaids—the best winter 2024 trends are all about finding ways to indulge in warmth and texture during the dark (but festive!) days ahead. Below, we’ve taken inspiration from the Fall 2024 runway shows and resort 2025 collections to create an edit of our favorite looks for the next few months.

The collections for this season were full of ideas about how to update the classics, but they also tapped into a wrong-place-right-time styling approach. Tory Burch suggested tinsel-like fabrics for daywear, Chloé re-sparked our love of plaid, Miu Miu made a powerful case for dark brown, and Valentino proved that leopard print (and animal prints in general) is here to stay.

Below, I’ve shopped out the nine best resort 2025 and winter 2024 trends, with everything from the essentials I’m already wearing to the statement splurges that will simply bring you joy.

Scarf Necklines

The Row, Jil Sander, Bottega Veneta

Scarf coats have been trending since the beginning of fall, and now designers are tapping into this dreamy neckline for sweaters (like at Jil Sander) and blouses (like at Kallmeyer.) These tops and coats will look polished when paired with monochromatic pants, but feel coolest with a pair of black or cream jeans and boots.

Boho Goes Countryside

Chloé, Altuzarra, Bottega Veneta

Chloé had us all wearing bohemian ruffles this fall, but that’s more of a warm-weather phenomenon. In colder temperatures, the boho girl tends to reach for English countryside pieces like the brand’s oversized wool cape-like coat in plaid. Complete the look with a Fair Isle sweater or a cozy cable knit and a pair of sturd
