St. Charles has approved preliminary plans for Fox Haven Square, a commercial development near the former Charlestowne Mall site on the city’s east side.

St. Charles city officials have approved preliminary plans for Fox Haven Square, a commercial development near the former Charlestowne Mall site on the city’s east side. Bartlett-based developer Greco Investment Management, LLC is looking to construct four buildings around a central plaza that would house a mix of restaurants, stores and an indoor pickleball complex on a vacant 7.5-acre parcel at the corner of Kirk Road and Route 64.

The Moorings proposes 70 new senior independent-living apartments in Arlington Heights

Looking to meet increasing demand, The Moorings has proposed construction of a 5-story, 70-unit independent-living apartment building on its campus in Arlington Heights. The new construction would add to the senior living community’s roster of residential living spaces for adults age 62 and older, and be the first major expansion on the 41-acre campus at 811 E. Central Road since 2016.

More than two years after Lisle trustees backed a controversial plan to redevelop a vacant shopping center in the village’s downtown, the property remains untouched. Next month, the trustees will decide whether to extend an existing redevelopment agreement or look for another developer to revamp the shuttered Family Square Plaza at the southeast corner of Ogden Avenue and Main Street.
