The Cutest Photos of Kate Middleton and Prince William Enjoying Sports with Their Kids
Kate Middleton brought the crowd to its feet when she attended the Wimbledon men’s final this past Sunday.
Patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club where the match was played, the Princess of Wales has made sure to catch a match or two since she was assigned the role in 2016.
The Princess of Wales isn’t alone in her devotion to sports; her husband Prince William has also been pictured on several occasions cheering in the stands at various sporting events. In fact, the heir to the British throne has been quite open about his love for the football club, Aston Villa.
It seems like the Waleses have taken their love for sports to the next level and are now passing it to their children. Prince George, 10, and Princess Charlotte, 9, have attended several games with their parents. (Prince Louis, who’s only 6 years old, is yet to attend as he is still too young for the exciting events.)
Below, check out Kate Middleton and Prince William’s sweetest moments with their kids in the stands.
Back to the Courts
After months away from the public due to some health issues, Kate Middleton made a rare appearance at the men’s final Wimbledon Tennis Championships on July 14. Princess Charlotte adorably looked on as the crowd gave the Princess of Wales a standing ovation.
Made in the Shades
Once the action got going, it was all back to normal as the mommy-daughter duo was spotted fully invested in the match and cheering from the stands.
Match Point
On the same day, Prince William and Prince George were also in attendance at the UEFA Euro 2024 final match between Spain and England in Germany.
The Thrill of Victory, the Agony of Defeat
The game was clearly intense as the pair could be seen on the edge of their seats.
All’s Well, That Ends Well
England may have fallen to Spain 1-2, but clearly this duo had the time of their lives.
Deeply Invested
In April, the boys once again looked tense while following every move of the UEFA Europa Conference League 2023/24 quarter-final first-leg match between Aston Villa and Lille OSC.
A Brief Lesson
Earlier this year, Prince William was pictured giving his first-born son a brief show of the Emirates FA Cup Trophy after the two attended the Emirates FA Cup Final match between Manchester City and Manchester United at Wembley Stadium on May 25.
Day Out with Dad
The best part about a day out for any kid is all the junk food they get to eat — and Prince George is no different. The young royal was seen enjoying some pizza while attending the England vs. Australia cricket match on July 1, 2023.
Big Celebration
It seems Prince William has passed on his love for Aston Villa to his son as the two were seen celebrating the team’s first goal as they took on Nottingham Forest EPL during a match on March 18, 2023.
All in the Family
The entire family — sans Louis — was in attendance for the 2023 Wimbledon men’s final where Carlos Alcaraz took on Novak Djokovic.
Still In It
Things got a bit intense for Prince George for a second …
Taking it in Stride
… as Princess Charlotte shared a cheeky moment with her mom.
Big Fans
Clearly the siblings got really into the match, while the Prince and Princess of Wales kept it much cooler.
Round of Applause
The prince and princess were royally psyched.
Holding it Together
While his parents were able to keep their reactions close to the vest, Prince George was clearly gripped by what was happening on the court during Wimbledon 2022.
Princess Charlotte’s Day Out with the Parents
Prince William and Kate Middleton took their baby girl to the England vs. India women’s hockey match during the 2022 Commonwealth Games at the University of Birmingham Hockey & Squash Centre in 2022.
A Sweet Moment
The doting dad could be seen having a sweet chat with the then 7-year-old.
Mini-Me
Following suit, Charlotte could be seen clapping along with her mama while watching along.
Hanging with the Parents
Earlier that year, Prince William was also seen having a chat with Prince George as the then-duchess of Cambridge spoke to Jeff Blackett, RFU President in the stands, prior to the Guinness Six Nations Rugby match between England and Wales.
Toddlers Will be Toddlers
Who can forget this cute moment when Charlotte stuck her tongue out at onlookers as she accompanied her mother to the King’s Cup Regatta in 2019.
Supporting Dad
A teeny-tiny Prince Louis joined the family in July 2019 as they attended the King Power Royal Charity Polo Match, in which Prince William and Prince Harry were competing.
