The Final ‘Escape From Tarkov’ Pre Wipe Event Features A Fire Sale
A new event has launched in Escape From Tarkov where traders are selling their wares for just one rouble in what is likely to be the last pre wipe event before the big 0.15 update next week.
As with all of the pre wipe events so far, it was first teased on the official Escape From Tarkov social media accounts with a picture of a trader next to a sign showing he is selling items for a single rouble, which is by far the most obvious tease of the events so far.
Now, if you boot up Tarkov and head to the traders tab you will see that they are selling almost all of their items for just one rouble, meaning you can build pretty much whatever loadout you want for just a few coins. However, at the time of writing the stock limits have not been removed, so you may not be able to buy as much you as you want. This is likely an oversight and will hopefully be removed in the coming hours to send Tarkov into full chaos mode.
If you aren’t all that far into your Tarkov experience yet the good news is that all traders are now at max level, so you now have access to anything they sell instead of being limited by your loyalty level.
The fire sale event is, typically, the last pre wipe event before the next patch launches and deletes everyone’s progress. It typically runs for around 48 hours and sends the world of Tarkov into chaos as everyone starts running the most expensive loadouts possible given there are basically no financial restrictions any more. However, the flea market is still closed from the previous event, so some rarer items may not be available unless you get lucky and find them.
Of course all of the other pre wipe events are still in effect, so scavs are running top level gear, there’s explosive shotgun ammo and hideout upgrades can still be unlocked for beer.
All of these events will end when the next Escape From Tarkov wipe happens on Tuesday, August 20. On this date, all your progress and inventory in the PvP mode will be deleted, and all players will have to start from scratch once again. That means these last couple of days of the wipe are your last chance to play around with top level weapons for a while.
When the new wipe arrives the 0.15 patch will also arrive, which is set to bring a ton of new content such as the new factory map, new weapons and a new boss, but one of his new features has me worried about the future of PvP and might be enough to make me switch to PvE for this wipe to see how it plays out.
