The Future of New York City: Focus on Jobs
On Friday, October 4, 2024, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York will host a half-day conference focused on the future of employment in New York City.
Topics of discussion will include how the composition of jobs in the city has changed since the pandemic; what’s needed to create jobs that pay family-sustaining wages and provide broad-based prosperity to the city; and how to develop and attract workers to fill those jobs. The conference will feature opening remarks by New York Fed President John C. Williams and keynote remarks by Richard Florida, a professor at the Rotman School of Management and distinguished scholar in residence at the University of Toronto’s School of Cities.
The event will be of interest to policymakers, academics, and leaders of financial institutions, foundations, and community organizations.
Registration closes on October 1, 2024.
