The Galaxy Z Fold 6 that you actually wanted is coming soon!

Over the past few months, there have been several rumors that Samsung is working on a separate version of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 with better cameras, bigger screens, and a thinner body. Some reports claimed it would be called the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra, while others claimed it would be called the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim.

More details about the device have been leaked, and it will reportedly be launched later this year.

Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim has wider screens and titanium frame

Tipster Ice Universe, who has an excellent track record regarding unannounced Samsung products, claimed on Weibo that the slimmer version of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is called the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim. They claimed the device features a wider cover screen with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9, similar to the Galaxy S24 Ultra. It has a 6.5-inch cover screen and an 8-inch inner screen, making those screens bigger than the ones on the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

Moreover, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim has a titanium frame, making it the first phone in the Galaxy Z lineup to use that material. The phone is said to be thinner and lighter than the regular Galaxy Z Fold 6, matching foldable phones from Chinese brands. As expected, the upcoming foldable phone will be costlier due to higher specifications.

It will be launched in the fourth quarter of this year and go official sometime between October and December. Other rumors claimed that the phone would be available only in a few countries, including China and South Korea. China will get a separate Galaxy Z Fold 6 version called the W25.

Some rumors claim that Samsung has reduced the thickness and weight of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim by removing the S Pen digitizer from the inner screen. The digitizer is present in the regular Galaxy Z Fold 6, making it compatible with the S Pen stylus. The upcoming foldable phone could also feature higher-end cameras, but no credible details are available now.
