The Renowned Stylist Moves Into a Newly Leadership Created Position at the Publication

Alison Edmond, a veteran stylist who has held influential roles throughout fashion media, has been named the new artistic and fashion director of The Hollywood Reporter. This newly created position will see Edmond continue to lead the styling and direction of the magazine’s photo shoots.

Edmond has previously been involved in numerous cover shoots, including those of such stars as Glen Powell, Jon Hamm, and Liam Neeson. She has also directed rounds for the magazine. THR, which is owned by Penske Media Corporation, the same company that owns WWD, will now have Edmond work in tandem with its creative director, Peter Cury, and visual director, Ash Barharmand.

Co-editors-in-chief of THR, Nekesa Mumbi Moody and Maer Roshan, expressed their enthusiasm about Edmond’s appointment:

We’re thrilled to welcome Alison onto the THR team. She brings incredible experience and an exceptional reputation in the industry to the role, having styled some of the most high-profile celebrities in the world. We are excited to bring her well trained eye and creative vision to our brand.”

The prominent stylist kickstarted her career at British Vogue, working under esteemed editors such as Anna Wintour and Elizabeth Tilberis. She left the U.K. for Los Angeles to assume the role of the West Coast editor at Harper’s Bazaar. Eventually, she shifted back to London to work with Bazaar UK, where she managed the creative direction of over 100 covers during her 12-year stint.

Edmond returned to Los Angeles in 2009 to work for Hearst-owned publications Marie Claire and Elle. Her most recent role was as the head of creative at the men’s lifestyle and culture platform, MrFeelgood.com. She also previously served as the art director for Brad Pitt and Sat Hari’s apparel brand.
