The Oscar-winning Hollywood star who could appear in the third season of ‘Squid Game’

The second season of “Squid Game” consolidated itself as a resounding success just a few days after its premiere on Netflix.

The successful South Korean series is already the most-watched show on the platform worldwide, and after the open ending suggested by the last episode, fans couldn’t be more excited about the final season.

What no one expected was the appearance of a rumor that turned the fan community upside down.

According to an exclusive report from South Korean outlet OSEN, Hollywood superstar Leonardo DiCaprio could make a surprise appearance in the third season of Squid Game.

The acclaimed Hollywood actor, winner of the Oscar for Best Actor in 2015, could join the cast of the series directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk. DiCaprio has always declared himself a big fan of the production, and in the past, the director had stated that he and his team would love to have the presence of a big-name actor for the final stretch of the story.

DiCaprio has reportedly already filmed his scenes for ‘The Squid Game’

According to the research carried out by OSEN, DiCaprio participated in secret filming sessions carried out in 2024. As of today, all of his scenes for the third season are said to be completely filmed. However, they report that viewers should not expect the actor to have a very extensive role in the series; apparently it would be a small role but one that will surprise viewers.

You’ll have to wait until the final episodes of Squid Game are released next summer to see if these rumors are true or not.
