The Saints’ opponents have been determined for the 2025 season
The opponents for the Saints’ 2025 schedule have been determined, thanks to their fourth-place finish in the NFC South Division.
The slate includes games against only three teams that qualified for the playoffs this season: the Buffalo Bills; Los Angeles Rams; and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The NFL scheduling formula calls for the Saints to play eight home games and nine away games next season.
The Saints will play the fourth-place finishers from the NFC East (Giants), NFC North (Bears) and AFC South (Titans) in the NFL’s scheduling formula.
The NFL schedule rotation pits the Saints against all four teams from the NFC West and AFC East. That means a home game against Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets and a road game against the Bills and MVP candidate Josh Allen.
The schedule includes West Coast trips to Los Angeles and Seattle to play the Rams and Seahawks.
Buffalo isn’t the only potential cold-weather game on the schedule. The Saints have another visit scheduled to Chicago to play the Bears.
The Saints and Carolina Panthers both finished 5-12 in the division, but the Saints lost the tiebreaker because their strength of victory (.306) was worse than the Panthers (.325).
The full schedule with dates and times will be released by the NFL in May.
