The Sports Bra is ready to start franchising

The Sports Bra, the first restaurant and bar dedicated to promoting women’s sports in the country, looks to capitalize on the rapid growth of women’s sports.

The Sports Bra is planning to start franchising and is now offering the opportunity to invest.

“The Sports Bra has proven to be a lot bigger than just the four walls of our bar and restaurant. It’s found its place in a movement—a movement that takes women’s sports to a whole new level,” said Jenny Nguyen, founder and CEO of The Sports Bra, said in a statement. “Now, we are taking the next big step. It’s time to invite others to join our team to bring The Sports Bra to communities across the country. LFG!

“From where I sit, there is enormous demand for more places like ours. I have personally heard from hundreds of people from 44 states and a dozen countries who are interested in learning more about opening their own outlet of The Sports Bra.”

The Sports Bra’s plans to franchise comes with the help of a major investment from Alexis Ohanian, the co-founder of Reddit, founding control owner of Angel City FC, and founder of the 776 Foundation. Ohanian is the husband of tennis great Serena Williams.

The expansion is a direct result of the rapid growth of women’s sports worldwide. There were an equal number of male and female athletes at the 2024 Paris Olympics for the first time in Olympics history. WNBA events have attracted record numbers of fans and television viewers this year. Fans attended games and viewers watched women’s college basketball games in record numbers during the 2023-24 season.
