The Sports Squad 7/1: Quarles, Volleyball team look for another championship season – Augusta University

On this edition of The Sports Squad, Justin Gray and J. Ben Haynes interview AU volleyball coach Sharon Quarles, in her 15th season, and senior outside hitter Sophia Kruczko. The Jaguars, coming off a 29-5  and PBC championship season, will play a scrimmage against USC Aiken on Saturday, Aug. 24., at 5:30 p.m.  Quarles believes her 2024 team could be her best one yet at AU. The Jags will have their Blue and Grey intrasquad scrimmage on Aug. 30 at Christenberry Fieldhouse at 6 p.m. Kruczko is the top returning attacker on the Jags’ squad with 283 kills … Joined by Professor David Bulla, Gray and Haynes also discuss CSRA high school football, college football, MLB and the PGA Fedex Cup.
