“The Tents” Fashion Show Highlights Sustainability in Southampton

The second annual FATA Fund Inc. fundraising event, in collaboration with theSIPnyc, took place at Agawam Park in Southampton, NY, from September 20-21, 2024. Hosted by Mark MK, “The Tents” showcased a vibrant array of fashion, entertainment, fine art, artisans, spoken word, emerging musicians and much more.

The event commenced with comedian A.G. White setting the tone with joy and laughter at the Southampton Cultural Center on opening night. Spin master, FUNKFLEX showcased his skills outdoors the next day with vendors flanked on each side of the stage.

The Tents fashion show featured The Fashion and The Arts themed presentation of SUSTAINABILITY, which creatively transitioned used synthetic fabrics of sequins, glitter, PVC, and polyester into stylish party wear.

Attendees were also treated to a sneak peak of the Couture Collection of Carol Maraj by Neil Young, along with her lingerie line. Also featured was the indigenous Cultural Collection from designer Kayla Lookinghorse from the Shinnecock reservation in Southampton.
