The Week in Fashion: Kate Moss Announces Capsule Collection with Zara

Welcome to the Week in Fashion, Bazaar’s at-a-glance guide to what the industry is talking about.

Kate Moss Is Launching a Capsule Collection with Zara

Zara

Holiday season is right around the corner, and Kate Moss is celebrating by releasing her own collection of partywear, in collaboration with Zara, this November 30.

“For this collection, I wanted to create the perfect party capsule—pieces that feel effortlessly chic but with an edge,” Moss said in a statement. “Mixing classic cuts with just the right amount of glam to take you through the party season. I’ve enjoyed working with Zara on campaigns over the years and always loved their collaborations…”

In her statement, Moss also revealed that she teamed up with Katy England—the fashion stylist who was renowned for her longtime work with Alexander McQueen—on the designs. While other details remain hush-hush, come holiday time, we’ll probably be seeing the pair’s pieces all over town.

“It’s Always Burberry Weather” for Cara Delevingne and These Stars

Burberry is known for many things, from its classic check pattern to its lineup of gorgeous outerwear. So, for the British brand’s latest campaign, the team decided to lean into what makes Burberry so beloved, digging into the archives to pull up a slogan that seemed perfectly fitting for the colder seasons: “It’s always Burberry weather.”

For this campaign, seven key styles from the brand were reimagined, including the trench, the Harrington, the quilt, the puffer, the parka, the aviator, and the duffle.

Meanwhile, the fashion house recruited a number of stars to take part in a stylish campaign, snagging Cara Delevingne (who has been modeling for the brand for 13 years), as well as Barry Keoghan, Zhang Jingyi, Cole Palmer, Eberechi Eze, Little Simz, and Olivia Colman.

Herno

Balenciaga, McQueen, and more luxury stores just got a new neighbor on Madison Avenue. This week, Herno unveiled a flagship at 616 Madison Ave, situated inside the General Motors Building.

This is the second Herno store to arrive in New York City and bring a bit of Italian craftsmanship to the Big Apple. An event was held on Wednesday night to celebrate the brand’s new brick-and-mortar space.

Featuring fluffy outerwear, unbelievably-soft knits, and chic businesswear, the store’s arrival couldn’t come at a more perfect time, with the increasingly-colder temperatures calling for a bit more layering. You can peruse the space Monday–Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Miley Cyrus Is Captured in the Frame for Dolce & Gabbana

She can buy herself flowers… and sunglasses. Miley Cyrus is the star of a new eyewear campaign for Dolce & Gabbana, where she rocks a variety of stylish glasses in photos taken by Mert Alas.

Throughout the Fall/Winter 2024 campaign, Cyrus is accompanied by model and actor Matthew Nozka, who sports an elegant black tuxedo, while Cyrus wears lacy black lingerie and a white feather coat.

The duo pose while sporting a variety of eyewear styles from the luxury fashion house, from sharp rectangular frames to dramatic cat-eye shapes. The new collection, which features edgy silhouettes all adorned with the iconic D&G logo, can be shopped here.

Alessandro Michele Puts His Stamp on Valentino with First Campaign

Ever since Alessandro Michele was named the new creative director of Valentino back in April, fans were eagerly awaiting to see what the Italian fashion designer would come up with in his new role, after having been at Gucci for the past two decades.

Now, his first campaign for Valentino has officially been unveiled, and it’s clear the visionary will be bringing his own spin to the established maison.

While speaking about his new collection, Michele said that it acts as “an antidote against transience.” He also commented on the legacy of founder Valentino Garavani, saying: “[It’s] extraordinary how much Valentino loved life, there was no remorse toward lightness and beauty, using beauty as a medicine and he was brave in saying that fashion is not futile.”

Three pieces from Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy’s enviable wardrobe will be up for auction at Sotheby’s as a part of their annual Fashion Icons sale this fall.

The pieces were donated by RoseMarie Terenzio, who was Kennedy’s executive assistant and publicist, and they consist of a black Prada coat, a leopard-print faux-fur vintage coat, and a double-breasted jacket by Yohji Yamamoto. The bidding will last from November 27 to December 17, and the garments will be on display in New York from December 5 to 10.

“These garments speak volumes about her tragically short but remarkable life,” Sotheby’s fashion special Lucy Bishop said. “They reveal a woman who made considered choices, navigated public scrutiny with intelligence and grace, displaying a generosity and kindness that touched those around her. Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy understood the power of dressing well, and this belief is forever reflected in these clothes.”
