The World’s Best Scotch Whiskies According To The 2025 World Whisky Awards

The World Whisky Awards has announced the gold medalists from the recently completed Scotch whisky judging. This year’s awards were announced at the iconic Signet Library, a historic library and conference venue in downtown Edinburgh.

The winners of the World Whiskies Awards Scotland go on to compete with the winners of the French, Irish, Canadian, Japanese, American, and Rest of World categories. The final judging occurs in London in February 2025. The winners of the World’s Best awards for 2025 will be revealed in London, the following month.

The 2025 World Whisky Awards, Scotch Whisky judging, highlighted an eclectic mix of medalists. Some are historic, well-known producers, others up-and-coming young distilleries. The World Whisky Awards judging is among the most rigorous of any spirits competition. These are all outstanding whiskies and, if you are unfamiliar with some of them, well worth trying.
