Themed Entertainment Association opens registration for TEA SATE North America 2024

The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA), a non-profit representing compelling places and experiences worldwide, will host this year’s TEA SATE North America event at Dollywood Parks & Resorts in Pigeon Forge, Tenessee, from 15 – 18 October. Registration is now open and there is an early bird offer available until 14 August.

The TEA’s SATE North America conference brings together innovative thinkers and influential decision-makers to discuss the future of Storytelling, Architecture, Technology, and Experience in themed entertainment (SATE).

Experiential entertainment has seen a huge rise in popularity because it provides immersive experiences that go beyond the conventional. Pop-up museums, interactive art pieces, and escape rooms are examples of attractions that captivate visitors’ attention and leave them with enduring memories.

Accessibility may be restricted, though, by the high production expenses that are sometimes connected to such experiences. This year, the TEA is. investigating experiential entertainment’s secondary regional marketplaces. The sessions will explore how cutting-edge ideas from the industry are being scaled back and offered more affordably.

A packed agenda

Attendees will hear from industry experts, including speakers from Gensler, Luci Creative, Concept Design & Art Direction by Irina Grabarnik, KMI International, Mangolin Creative, and Zircon Designs.

Topics covered will include Meeting People Where They Are: Finding Connection, Meaning, and Joy Anywhere; Light Sabers & Learning: Why Science Museums Need a Dose of the Force; Creative Outside-the-box Ideas for Pop-up Constructions: Scalability, Flexibility, and Fun; Big Experiences on Limited Budgets – Using Resources Effectively; Reimagining Cultural Attractions: Bringing Theatrical Techniques to Local Zoos, Museums and Aquariums; and Show Control for All: Technologically Elevating, Enhancing, and Integrating Storytelling.

Delegates will also have the opportunity to view attractions and lodging created by TEA Members, such as the Tree of Life by Extreme Engineering and LF Studios, The HeartSong Lodge & Resort by AOA, and DreamMore Resort Foundation by Entech Innovative Engineering and Yex Creative.
