These Designers Just Dropped a Collection With Planned Parenthood, FYI
Ahead of the presidential election this November, topics like abortion access and women’s reproductive rights are more important to speak on than ever before, and the Planned Parenthood Action Fund is on a mission to do just that.
“In his ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade, Justice Alito got just one thing right: We are not without electoral or political power. This election, women, young people, and people of color will let our voices be heard through our votes, said Alexis McGill Johnson, President and CEO, Planned Parenthood Action Fund.
Most recently, the Planned Parenthood Action Fund has teamed up with prominent fashion designers to highlight the importance of these rights through a T-shirt collaboration. “We owe a debt of gratitude to all the designers who lent their talents to this campaign,” said McGill Johnson. “Through November 5, we will work together to remind voters what’s at stake in this election, and that ultimately, WE decide its outcome.”
The campaign involved a range of designers, including Carly Cushnie, Diane von Furstenberg, Fernando Garcia, Fe Noel, Kenneth Cole, Kim Shui, Peshawn Bread, Prabal Gurung, and Willie Norris. Each chose their own theme to incorporate into their exclusively designed T-shirt, like Carly Cushnie’s “Black Voters Decide,” Fernando Garcia’s “Latinos, Latinas, Latinx, Latines Decide,” and Prabal Gurung’s “Immigrants Decide,” each one reflecting the idea that we are the ones who decide our futures by voting.
“Freedom is being in charge. Freedom is knowing you can make the best decision for your body. Freedom is charting the best course for your life and your future. We will never be truly free until we can exercise our reproductive freedoms,” said Diane von Furstenberg.
The T-shirts are available now on the Action Fund Marketplace. Keep scrolling to see a few styles below.
