BRANCHBURG – A job fair for the cannabis industry will be held at Raritan Valley Community College on June 22.

The event will also feature panel discussions about the cannabis industry, vendors and an expungement clinic.

Anyone is welcome to attend the event, which begins at 11:30 a.m. with the panel discussions beginning at noon. Panel discussions will run about four hours and the vendor hall and clinic will follow. Free pizza and water will be provided by the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW 360).

Valley Wellness, which opened a dispensary on Route 202 in Raritan Borough, will be conducting job interviews while Aunt Mary’s cannabis dispensary, which is located in the Flemington Shoppes center on Route 202 in Flemington, will be accepting resumes.

Attendees can sign up for an onsite interview by registering, but walk-ins are also welcome.

Canna Coverage, which provides insurance coverage for the cannabis industry, will also be accepting resumes from insurance professionals or college students who are interested in employment at the agency.

The event will feature an expungement clinic, allowing those convicted of low-level, non-violent cannabis offenses to learn how to get them off their records. Attendees interested in attending the clinic must pre-register.

The panels will discuss building the cannabis ecosystem in municipalities, cannabis tax revenue, improving health outcomes through medical cannabis, and the psychedelics market.

The event is being held in partnership with the Coalition of Medical Marijuana New Jersey and the Greater Raritan Workforce Development Board (GRWDB).

Businesses interested in participating as a vendor or a sponsor of ongoing cannabis-related events can contact the Coalition of Medical Marijuana.
