Monday Night Blues

Bands on the Beach

7 p.m. Tuesday, June 4. Gulfside Pavilion at Casino Beach, Pensacola Beach. Bands on the Beach is Pensacola Beach’s popular outdoor summer concert series with performers for every musical taste. Featuring a lineup of regional artists, the series delivers an eclectic musical experience throughout the entire summer. This week features The New Cahoots. The Happy Together Tour

8 p.m. Tuesday, June 4. Saenger Theatre, 118 S. Palafox St. The touring sensation that has crisscrossed the nation delighting audiences for over a decade returns this summer with a show full of chart-topping hits from the 60s and 70s – an undeniable 61 Billboard Top 40 smashes. The tour is once again joined by the Turtles, who also act as musical hosts for the evening. Along with them will be Jay and the Americans, The Association, Badfinger, The Vogues, and the Cowsills. The Turtles are best known for their harmony-heavy California pop sound. With such hits as “Elenore,” “She’d Rather Be With Me,” “It Ain’t Me Babe,” “You Showed Me” and the title of the tour, “Happy Together,” the band ruled the airwaves in the late 60s. Fiesta All Krewe Ball

7 p.m. Thursday, June 6. Hadji Shrine Temple, 800 W. Nine Mile Road. Join Fiesta, DeLuna LXXIV, his Queen and the 2024 Court of DeLuna at the Hadji Shrine for this annual celebration. Unleash the revelry and embrace the magic, this is a night to celebrate you. The night will also feature a dance competition, table decorating contest and royalty requests. $50. FRIDAY

11th annual Flora-Bama Fishing Rodeo

Friday through Sunday, June 7 through 9. Flora-Bama Lounge & Package, 17401 Perdido Key Drive. The Flora-Bama Fishing Rodeo is a multi-species, recreational and competitive fishing tournament featuring 40 categories with first, second and third place prize packages for each category. Accompanying the tournament will be a three-day beach party and awards ceremony that will include daily weigh-ins with a fish viewing area, live music, great food and vendors. A portion of the rodeo’s ticket sales will be donated to a nonprofit organization geared to providing combat veterans with well-deserved family vacations. Bands on the Blackwater Fall Concert Series

Rent

7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 7 through 23, in addition to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 13. Pensacola Little Theatre, 400 S. Jefferson St. Set in the East Village of New York City, Rent is about falling in love, finding your voice, and living for today. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Rent has become a pop cultural phenomenon. With songs that rock and a story that resonates with audiences of all ages. Sixth annual Military Appreciation Picnic

11 a.m. Saturday, June 8. Navarre Park, 8513 Navarre Parkway. The Navarre Chamber’s Military & Veteran Affairs Committee is gearing up to host the sixth annual Military Appreciation Picnic: Saluting Our Hometown Heroes. This year’s extravaganza is presented by Eglin Federal Credit Union. Get ready for a day filled with free food, games, live music, and camaraderie with fellow service members and their families. Sir Richard’s Birthday Oyster Bash

2 p.m. Saturday, June 8. Sir Richard’s Public House, 2719 E. Cervantes St. Sir Richard’s Public House will host a Birthday Oyster Bash to celebrate the bar’s 58th anniversary. Attendees can purchase orders of oysters in either half dozen or full dozen quantities. Prices and additional food items may be announced before the event. World Ocean Day

7:30 a.m. Saturday, June 8. Beach Access No. 4 (next to the Crab Trap restaurant), Perdido Key. The Perdido Key Area Chamber is hosting its World Ocean Day event featuring an unforgettable day of fitness, family-friendly activities, beach vendors and fun. Imagine starting the morning with a free beach yoga session courtesy of Bliss Yoga at beautiful Perdido Key Beach Access No. 4. There will also be story-time for the kids. Then attendees can participate in a volunteer beach clean-up activity, or visit with the vendors and ocean experts for education, activities, or an experience with an animal ambassador. Free. Theme Cars R Us – Car Show
