Monday Night Blues

7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 5. Seville Quarter, 130 E. Government St. Seville Quarter and the Blues Society of Northwest Florida are bringing the “blues” back to the Seville Quarter Entertainment District. Bands on the Beach

7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6. Gulfside Pavilion at Casino Beach, Pensacola Beach. Bands on the Beach is Pensacola Beach’s popular outdoor summer concert series with performers for every musical taste. Featuring a lineup of regional artists, the series delivers an eclectic musical experience throughout the entire summer. This week features Blackwater Country. Haunt

THURSDAY

Short Course North: Edibles & More

8 a.m. Thursday and Friday, Aug. 8 and 9. Santa Rosa County Extension Service, 6263 Dogwood Drive, Milton. The Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, in collaboration with UF/IFAS Master Gardener Volunteers, is hosting a two-day training course is specifically designed for the gardening enthusiast seeking to enhance their knowledge and expertise in gardening with an emphasis on edible gardening. The program will delve into a wide range of topics to cater to the diverse interests of experienced Garden Club members, Master Gardeners Volunteers and gardening enthusiasts. More info: ffgc.org.

Mom2Mom Kids Resale Event

10 a.m. Thursday and Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 8 through 10. Pensacola Interstate Fairgrounds, 6655 Mobile Highway. Mom2Mom is the Gulf Coast’s largest consignment sale for quality children’s and maternity clothing, toys, books, games and baby equipment. Sportsman’s Night Out

5 p.m., doors; 6:30 p.m., show; Thursday, Aug. 3. Pensacola Bay Center, 201 E. Gregory St. Marcus Pointe Baptist Church is bringing Sportsman’s Night Out back to the Bay Center. This year’s special guests are Rick Burgess, the cohost of The Rick and Bubba Show, which is heard and seen by 1.5 million people weekly, and Hank Parker, one of America’s best-known fishing personalities and host of one of the longest-running fishing shows on TV, “Hank Parker’s Outdoor Magazine.” Tickets start at $10. FRIDAY

Anne of Green Gables

7 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9 and 10. The Rex Theatre, 18 N. Palafox St. The Shining Light Players presents their production of Anne of Green Gables. Decided spinster Marilla Cuthbert’s life is about to change when she meets a spirited orphan girl. Be enchanted by Anne, Matthew, Marilla and all of L. M. Montgomery’s beloved characters, played by an award-winning cast, in this stage adaptation of the delightful classic. The Shining Light Players produce original Christian plays and musicals. The Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, in collaboration with UF/IFAS master gardeners, is hosting a two-day training course is specifically designed for Advanced Master Gardeners seeking to enhance their knowledge and expertise in various aspects of gardening. The program offers an engaging curriculum with a wide range of topics to cater to the diverse interests of experienced Master Gardeners. More info: ffgc.org.

O’Riley’s 26.2 Feet, The Leprechaun Marathon

3:02 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12. O’Riley’s Uptown Tavern, 3728 Creighton Road. Organizers know that 26.2 sounds like a daunting distance for a race, but take note, it’s only 26.2 feet. The race is limited to 262 people. Those lucky enough to snag a spot will receive all the amenities of a Run Pensacola event, including a race shirt, pre/post-race food and drinks, finishers medal, a 26.2 race sticker, closed off course and race bibs. Dinner Detective Murder Mystery Dinner Show

6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10. Hilton Garden Inn Pensacola Downtown, 8 S. Ninth Ave. America’s largest interactive comedy murder mystery dinner theatre show is now playing. Solve a mystery while feasting on dinner. Just beware, the culprit is hiding in plain sight somewhere in the room, and you may find yourself as a prime suspect before you know it. This event differs from a traditional murder mystery dinner show. The actors are not dressed in costume and are hidden in the audience. JGBCB – Jerry Garcia Band Cover Band

7 p.m., doors; 8 p.m., show; Saturday, Aug. 10. Vinyl Music Hall, 2 S. Palafox St. Formed in Athens, Georgia, in 2012, JGBCB has been filling a hole in the Grateful Dead scene by offering up spirited covers of classic songs pulled exclusively from the repertoire of the Jerry Garcia Band, Garcia’s long-running side-project. JGBCB has played shows from Key West to Colorado, exciting audiences with performances of beloved Garcia tunes not found within the traditional Grateful Dead catalog.
