While the accessories categories of fall fashion are keeping things a bit more tame (relatively speaking), autumn’s clothing trends are here to implore that you be 100 percent on board with whatever look you’re channeling. I want to underscore that I’m not talking about dressing up in costume here, but we are walking a fine line, because commitment to the whole aesthetic is just as important as anything else this season.

One of the best things about fall is the ability to layer clothing, and this season, designers like Miu Miu want you to do this in the most colorful, stacked way possible. Wear a red dress with an orange coat and teal shoes, for example. Have fun with complimentary colors, contrasting hues, or blending a mix that looks good to you.
