Across the United States, home health care and personal aides, retail workers and fast food counter workers ranked at the top of the list with 3.6 million workers in each occupation, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

As for the least common job, The Washington Post reported that the federal government recorded 260 wood pattern makers employed in the U.S.

The most common occupation in Arizona was fast food and counter workers. There are 102,570 fast food and counter workers in Arizona.

This is also the most common occupation in 13 other states, including Colorado, Oregon and Virginia.

There are more than 3.6 million fast food and counter workers in the United States; they earn on average $30,110 a year, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
