Three Things Rhianna Did in This Viral Fashion Moment That We Can’t Stop Talking About
Guests who attended the September 6 New York Fashion Week runway show for Alaïa at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City came for a sneak peek at the French fashion brand’s latest collection. But while they came for the palazzo pants and flowy skirts that sailed down the runway, they got an extra surprise when none other than billionaire beauty Rhianna made an appearance that practically broke the internet. When she showed up, what she was wearing and who she did (and did not) speak to are just a few of the viral moments we can’t stop talking about.
She Made an Entrance
According to Vogue’s reporting, RiRi held up the 8:30 pm show by over thirty minutes, making the grandest of entrances at 9:08. But when she finally walked in wearing a custom Alaïa gown and a pair of strappy heels, the room was completely quiet and practically everyone’s jaw hit the floor.
“The way everyone she walked by broke their necks tryna look lol,” wrote someone on TikTok.
But Rihanna’s lateness was less about being a diva and more about the nightmare that can be New York City traffic. She came straight to the show after receiving The Daily Front Row Fashion Media award with stylist Jahleel Weaver, according to Vogue.
She Walked Right Past Naomi Campbell
While people couldn’t get over Rihanna’s stunning grand entrance, they also couldn’t help but notice her dishing out a big dose of shade to supermodel Naomi Campbell.
A video surfaced of the singer walking over to greet former British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful, only to walk right past Campbell without saying a word. TikTok users loved every single moment of their non-exchange.
“That was so satisfying to see like honestly,” wrote someone.
Another commented on how much sweeter shade can be when you look stunning while serving it.
“Well she ate ignoring that,” wrote another user.
She Showed Love to One of the Black Models
The “Umbrella” singer had a front row seat to the action as the museum’s ramp was turned into a stylish catwalk. And apparently, she liked what she saw. TikTokers couldn’t help but notice her smiling sweetly at a model who wore a beautiful cream coat from the collection that caught her eye.
“I love how Rhi just give the black girl nod! Like I seeeee you!!!” wrote one TikTok user.
